Maidstone Borough Council is looking to recruit two part time Visitor Experience Officers on a Fixed Term contract working 15 hours per week, 1 May – 30 September 2018 to assist with the daily operations of both Maidstone Museum and Maidstone Carriage Museum.
Key elements of the role include welcoming visitors to the Museums, offering assistance in the Visitor Information, retail sales, supporting events and meetings, acting as a key holder and providing an excellent service for all visitors.
Previous experience in these areas would be advantageous but is not essential as training will be provided. Candidates must be fully flexible and able to physically assist with room hire setup and willing to lone work and support volunteers.
Working routine is to include alternate weekends, weekdays and occasional evening work as and when required.
The Council considers this to be a customer focused role therefore the ability to converse at ease with customers, adapting communication style to suit differing audiences and provide advice in accurate spoken English is fundamental to the role.
