Tourist Information Officer, Tourist Information Centre – Bristol

We are looking to recruit a Tourist Information Officer for our Tourist Information Centre on a part time basis for our busy City Centre waterfront location.

The Tourist Information Centre welcomes all visitors to Bristol, provides information about attractions, events and helps visitors make the most of their visit to our vibrant city. As a Tourist Information Officer, you will work as part of a team, promoting Bristol and providing excellent customer service to all and proactively selling souvenirs, gifts and tickets.

The role

To provide consistently high levels of customer service in a way that promotes Bristol, adds to the enjoyment of visitors and value to the information service.

To deliver pro-active levels of ticket and retail sales to enhance the financial performance of the Tourist Information Centre.

To respond to enquiries in person at the Tourist Information Centre, by phone or by email providing accurate and relevant information which actively encourages people to visit.

We are looking for someone that is passionate about Bristol as a destination and knows about its many attractions to work 12 hours per week (52 per month) on a rota basis which covers weekends and bank holidays as we are open every day of the year except 3.  We offer up to £7.50 per hour, 25 days’ holiday rising to 29 after 5 years’ service (pro rata), company pension scheme and your birthday day off.
