This is an exciting opportunity to work for the RSPB across the Dumfries & Galloway area, Scotland’s most southerly region. This stunning area is home to iconic species such as red squirrels, natterjack toads and red kites, with a diverse range of reserves ranging from breathtaking cliff top experiences to walking in an ancient oak wood carpeted with bluebells. Based at our breath taking Mersehead nature reserve, you will split your time between enthusing visitors on site, and attending events across the region, inspiring members of the public to join the RSPB by telling them about our work and what we are doing to save nature, and driving footfall to our reserves and promoting our events.

The successful candidate will become part of the RSPB South & West Scotland membership team. This role involves working across a wide variety of offsite venues/locations, from farmers markets to music festivals, talking to and recruiting new RSPB members. Full training and support will be given to the successful candidate and a valid driving license is essential.

Applicants should be comfortable in loading and unloading vehicles, happy to work weekends, bank holidays and when required work unsociable hours.

If you have a passion for saving nature and want to inspire others to do the same please get in touch we look forward to hearing from you.
