The ideal candidate should have a tourism background or a keen interest in the local area’s attractions and/or heritage across the County of Cornwall. You should have a willingness to learn about St Ives and Cornwall area.
You will be responsible for providing a wide range of information and services to customers; including producing literature, web content, social media interactions, booking events and accommodation.
The successful applicant will be required to use their own initiative and have the ability to engage with customers across all channels. Staff may be required to work on their own or as part of a team. Applicants should be able to demonstrate;
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service
- Proficiency with IT and content management systems and a sound understanding of both Microsoft Windows and office
- Experience in producing written material and/or a creative, artistic flare
- Good local knowledge
Applicant must also be:
- A quick learner
- Articulate and well presented

This position is part-time, flexible, seasonal until 30th September 2018 and it will include weekend shifts. It will be on a zero-hour contract; however, we anticipate that this post will provide between 14 and 20 hours a week.
