We’re looking for an energetic, experienced Head of Visitor Experience & Commercial at Wakehurst. You’ll be at the forefront of developing the visitor experience, and identifying opportunities for improvements using sound commercial reasoning.

You’ll lead an engaged, skilled visitor support team and volunteers, and collaborate extensively with other teams across the site. You’ll ensure an excellent standard of customer service, exceeding visitor expectations and attracting new audiences and income.

You’ll manage operations across retail, admissions, membership support, catering and events to ensure a seamless visitor experience. You’ll coordinate with operations areas including Estates, Facilities, IT, Security and Incident Planning.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Wakehurst’s success through visitor service excellence. Bringing creative skills, leadership abilities and commercial acumen to the team, you’ll develop innovative approaches to maximise revenue generation and delight visitors.

This is a senior Executive Team role, so you’ll need strong strategic planning and organisational skills, demonstrable experience of leading change and influencing, excellent interpersonal skills and a positive role-modelling attitude.

The salary will be £47,353 to £57,285 per annum, depending on skills and experience
